Psalm 27

Our journey through Psalm 27 ends with this charge – to wait for the Lord – followed by a plea to endure and not become disheartened. These are some of the most encouraging and convicting words in the Bible. Even as God is telling us to be strong and take heart, he reminds us that we must be patient. All these things that he has promised and ways that he will intervene will happen in his time. We must only trust and not let our spirit be discouraged.

As we have come through this season of holidays, we have been reminded of the majesty, mercy, power, and grace of our God. That is no match for his love for us. Leaving this time of contemplation and celebration behind, carry these words with you into the days ahead. Hold them close to you. Stand strong on his promises!
